Mark J. Milone is Of Counsel at Koukol Johnson & Schmit, LLC. His practice focuses on helping families protect their legacy.
Mark attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1981. Mark attended Creighton University School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate Degree in 1984.
He has been licensed to practice law in Nebraska since 1985. Mark is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association in good standing since 1985, and a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Sections.
Mark focuses his practice in the areas of divorce and family law, small business, trusts, wills, and probate of estates. Divorce law has been his primary area of practice throughout his 32-year career. He has successfully argued cases before the County Court, District Court, Court of Appeals, and Nebraska Supreme Court.
A portion of Mark’s practice has always been devoted to the Probate Court, including guardianships, conservatorships, probate, estate planning and trust administration. He has personally served as a trustee, guardian, conservator, personal representative, and attorney-in-fact for clients. He has represented hundreds of clients in guardianship, conservatorship, and estate proceedings, many contested.
Mark has presented at several Continuing Legal Education Seminars on the subjects of custody proceedings in both the family law and guardianship arenas, as well as addressing complex asset cases.
